COMPANY DESCRIPTION:
Johnson Matthey is an international chemical and precious metal company that is a leader in the recovery, refining, processing and fabrication of precious metals. The precious metals refining activity recovers platinum group metals, gold and silver from a variety of materials. Once recovered, these metals can be returned to the customer, sold for the customer, or converted to compounds or products for the customer's manufacturing operations. The chemicals production segment deals with the manufacture of precious metal compounds and catalysts for many diverse industrial applications.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform chemical testing and optimize processes to test samples and reduce Mercury based testing in the Quality Control Lab. Gather and record experimental data in an organized manner and write reports detailing work performed and results obtained. The student would be expected to work independently after establishing a basic schedule. The candidate should have chemical laboratory experience and an interest in working in an industrial lab environment. This position offers exposure to many aspects of the lab including various types of laboratory equipment. It will involve the student in making decisions and interacting daily with lab management. Good analytical skills and math skills are important in this role.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
