ShiftMed Registered Nurse (RN) Requirements:
o Must have an active and unencumbered RN license in the state in which applying o Must have at least 6 months of experience working in-home care, long-term care, or acute care o Demonstrates a caring and compassionate nature o Must possess supervisory skills o Candidate must have a positive outlook and problem-solving skills o Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 80 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet o Must be able to assist with the transfer and positioning of patients
Responsibilities:
o The RN performs ongoing assessment and observation to ensure the optimum level of health for patients o Administering and recording all medications accurately and according to policy and procedures o Transcribe and implement written, verbal, and electronic physician orders o The RN delegates responsibility to nurse aides and monitors the care delivered by the aides, ensuring that all care is being delivered to all the patients appropriately o The RN will oversee and supervise the clinical operations for all nursing and clinical care activities including oversight of staff o Organizes patient care effectively o Performs assessment data collection in an ongoing and systematic manner, focusing on the age, physiologic, psychological, and cognitive status of the patient o Reviews and evaluates the data collected by healthcare professionals o Develops a plan of care that prescribes nursing actions to achieve patient goals o Identifies patient/family learning needs and implements appropriate processes from admission to discharge o Must demonstrate thorough and complete verbal and written communication, and can collaborate with the interdisciplinary team o Show consistent abilities in flexibility regarding patient assignments, floating, and related staffing issues o Promotes a positive work environment by consistently demonstrating a positive attitude and teamwork o The RN must be able to fulfill all responsibilities and duties of the job description as posted Apply today to become a ShiftMed employee and start working as soon as this week!
